Here's what happens to the email address you give me when you subscribe to Real Talk, what data the website itself sees, and what you can do about any of it.

01 Who I am

LSPT Consulting LLC is a single-operator firm run by Brittany Fountain out of Houston, Texas. In this policy, "I" and "we" both mean the same thing. If you've subscribed to Real Talk or landed on this site, this policy covers the data involved in that.

02 What I collect

The site is doing two things right now, and the data picture stays narrow because of it.

  • Email address, when you subscribe to Real Talk. That's the only field the signup form asks for, and it's all I store about you. The newsletter is hosted through Beehiiv, which keeps your email address so I can send you the letter every other week.
  • Anonymous page-view data, when you visit. I use Plausible Analytics to see roughly how many people land on the site and which pages they read. Plausible doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites, and doesn't collect personal data. It's just aggregate counts.
That's it. No tracking pixels, no ad networks, no retargeting, no selling of anything to anyone. Your email goes to me, full stop.

03 How I use it

Your email exists for one reason, which is to deliver Real Talk to your inbox every other week. I might occasionally send a letter that announces something meaningful, like a change to the cadence or the site going fully public, but I'm not going to flood your inbox and I'm not going to use your email for anything outside of Real Talk.

The Plausible data helps me understand which letters or sections of the site people find useful, so I can write better ones. It's not tied to your email and doesn't identify you.

04 Who else sees it

Two service providers help me run the site. Both are bound by their own privacy practices, which you're welcome to read at any time.

  • Beehiiv stores subscriber email addresses and delivers the newsletter. US-based processor.
  • Plausible Analytics processes anonymous page-view data. EU-based processor, no cookies used.

I don't sell, rent, trade, or share your email with anyone else, for any reason.

05 Your rights over your data

You have complete control of what happens to your email address once it's on the Real Talk list. You can do any of the following, at any time, and I'll handle it within a few business days.

  • Unsubscribe. Every Real Talk letter has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it once and you're off the list immediately.
  • See what I have. Email me and I'll tell you exactly what's stored on your record, which at most is your email address and the date you subscribed.
  • Delete your data. Email me asking for your data to be deleted and I'll remove your email from Beehiiv and any related records within 72 hours. You'll get a confirmation when it's done. This is permanent and can't be undone.
  • Correct anything wrong. If your email address changes, reply to any Real Talk letter and I'll update it.

For anything on this list, the email is legal@lsptconsulting.com.

06 How long I keep it

Your email stays on the subscriber list for as long as you want to receive Real Talk. If you unsubscribe, Beehiiv keeps your address flagged as unsubscribed so it doesn't accidentally resend, and I purge that record entirely within 12 months. If you ask me to delete your data manually, I remove it immediately.

07 Contact

Questions about this policy, a data request, or anything legal go to legal@lsptconsulting.com. Anything else, you can reach me at hello@lsptconsulting.com.

08 Changes to this policy

If anything is going to change about how I handle your data, you'll get a notice from me in advance, spelling out exactly what I'm changing and when it takes effect. The update gets sent before the change happens, not after.
